Reduction of Atmospheric Effects on InSAR Observations Through Incorporation of GACOS and PCA Into Small Baseline Subset InSAR

چکیده
Small Baseline Subset InSAR (SBAS InSAR) utilizes a series of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferograms to generate time that can analyze the surface displacements coherent points. Still, atmospheric errors in interferometric SAR (InSAR) measurements seriously affect reliability displacement series. In this article, new approach incorporating Generic Atmospheric Correction Online Service for (GACOS) and principal component analysis (PCA) is proposed reduce SBAS InSAR. Its application Southern California, USA suggests incorporation GACOS PCA efficiently effects on observations hence improve accuracy InSAR-derived displacements. The overall standard deviations were reduced from 4.97 2.02 rad after applying with root mean square error (RMSE) reducing by 61.1% 18 7 mm. addition, comparisons between different processing strategies suggest more components are removed, smaller interferograms, but lower

Integration of Cgps and Ground Meteorological Observations for Mitigating Atmospheric Effects on Insar
Repeat-pass interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) has been demonstrated useful for topographic mapping and surface deformation measurement. However, the interferometric phases of satellite radar signals are often seriously contaminated by atmospheric effects. Due to the highly variable nature of the atmosphere, especially the atmospheric water vapor, it is usually difficult to accura...
متن کاملAtmospheric Effects on InSAR Measurements and Their Mitigation
Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) is a powerful technology for observing the Earth surface, especially for mapping the Earth's topography and deformations. InSAR measurements are however often significantly affected by the atmosphere as the radar signals propagate through the atmosphere whose state varies both in space and in time. Great efforts have been made in recent years to ...
متن کاملInfluence of hydrometeors on InSAR observations
Repeat-pass synthetic aperture radar interferometry is an important tool for measuring earth surface topography and/or surface deformations. These observations, however, are highly affected by the atmosphere. Therefore, an accurate description of atmospheric distortions is very important to improve an accuracy of interferometric measurements. In this paper we discuss influence of hydrometeors o...

Deformation monitoring by multi-baseline repeat-pass synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferometry is so far the only imaging-based method to assess millimeter-level deformation over large areas from space. Past research mostly focused on the optimal deformation parameters retrieval on a pixel-basis. Only until recently, the first demonstration of object-based urban infrastructures monitoring b...
